Aboriginal artists and art centres have rallied to support us, offering their works for our most important fundraiser! The online art auction will be launched at 10am on 10 May 2015 and conclude on the evening of Mabo Day, 3 June 2015. EDONT has been fortunate to receive an wonderful array of works originating from all over the NT. It is a truly unique collection of art!
The works will be displayed for viewing (and for people to start bidding) between 10am and 3pm on Sunday 10 May at the Outstation Gallery in Parap, Darwin.
The works will be displayed again on the final night of the auction at our Sydney Finale to be held at the offices of law firm Gilbert + Tobin.
EDONT wishes to express enormous gratitude for the generosity of our donating artists, art centres and to Matt Ward at Outstation Gallery and Gilbert + Tobin for hosting our launch and finale for nothing!
The art has come from a number of regions of the Territory, including: • Maningrida Arts Centre – Maningrida, Arnhem Land • Buku-Larrnga Mulka Arts Centre – Yirrkala, North East Arnhem Land • Injalak Arts Center, Gunbalanya, West Arnhem Land • Waralungku Arts Centre, Borroloola, Gulf Region • Warnayaka Arts Centre, Lajamanu • Papunya Tula Pty Ltd (Art from Kintore and Papunya), Alice Springs • Batchelor Institute • Ikuntji Artists, Haasts Bluff, West Macdonnell Ranges, Central Australia • Munupi Arts Centre, Tiwi Islands
