EDO NT runs a volunteer program at our Darwin office. We rely greatly on the commitment of students and professionals who volunteer their skills at the EDO. Lawyers and law students who have an interest in or have studied environmental law are encouraged to join our volunteer program, either by working at the EDO NT in Darwin, or remotely from their homes, or providing pro bono services.

Volunteering at EDO NT gives law students and other students insight into the legal practice and the way the justice system operates. You also help protect the environment by helping the EDO to provide its legal services to people or organisations who could otherwise not afford it.

Qualified environmental scientists are encouraged to offer pro bono expertise. There are sometimes volunteer opportunities to assist with administrative tasks, desktop publishing, publicity and marketing. We note that we can currently only accomodate law students with an interest in commencing internships longer than five weeks.
